Why Jurassic Jewellery Feels Different
Made using genuine fossils, meteorites, and rare materials, each piece is handcrafted to feel meaningful, distinctive, and built to last.
A Gift With Meaning
About
Nephew of Syd Barrett, founder of Pink Floyd, Ian Barrett grew up close to a world of imagination, art, and creativity.
That same spirit runs through Jurassic Jewellery, a business he has built from scratch over the last 20 years.
Today, his work is collected around the world and supplied to museums, but the heart of it remains simple: taking rare fossils, meteorites, and natural materials, and turning them into pieces people can wear, gift, and keep.

Testimonials
I was looking for inspiration for my space-mad sister-in-law’s 40th, I was over the moon (teheh) to find this site.
I found the perfect piece here, and was surprised it was right in Manchester. She LOVED it.”

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
How do I know the materials are genuine?
Each piece uses real fossils, meteorites, or other rare natural materials and comes with a certificate of authenticity and origin, so you know exactly what has been used and where it comes from.
Is this a good gift?
Yes. Many pieces are bought as gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and for people with a love of science, space, fossils, or the natural world.
What if I’m not sure which piece to choose?
That’s why we’ve focused this page on a small selection of best sellers - the pieces people choose most often when they want something meaningful and easy to buy with confidence.
What makes this different from ordinary jewellery?
This isn’t just about how it looks. Ian’s work begins with a real fascination for rare materials and the stories they carry, then turns them into pieces that feel personal, meaningful, and worth keeping.
How long will delivery take?
Delivery times depend on the piece and where it is being sent, but full details will be provided at checkout.
